Day 2 - New York exploring

Thankfully we all slept in until 10:30am - yay!  Out of bed for breaky and then hit the streets to do some shopping!  (Picture Steve rolling his eyes) First stop was a walk to the corner shop - Rite Aid - for toddler snacks.  We stocked up on Cheerios breakfast cereal and Goldfish (thanks Ali).  Also bought some Adult supplies - Beer!

Then the shopping began:
Pottery Barn - nice homewares stuff, Freedom prices, looked but didn't buy;
Williams Sonoma - nice cookware/bakeware shop, Myer prices, bought a pie dish, teatowels and Star Wars cupcake covers (so the essentials!);
Old Navy - Gaps younger sibling, great kids clothes, bought t-shirts, jeans and PJs for Julian and stubbie holders for us.
Urban Outfitters - funk and hip adults clothing store, too trendy for me ;)

Then we needed food (Julian was kindly asleep in the pram) so we headed home via Murray's Bagels.  Unfortunately this is all I have to show for it (Note the new stubbie holder):
 Man they were good!  And Ilana you were correct - 1/2"bagel, 2"meat, 1/2"Bagel!  Protein overload!  We headed home to eat and then Julian woke up which meant it was park-time.  Today we decided on Washington Square which reminded us a lot of Paris (and not just because of the Arch).  The grass areas were cordoned off just like Paris.  Oh well, at least there was a slide and a couple of steering wheels for Julian to spin.
 And there were squirrels.  Julian kindly dropped them some Cheerios which they ate before scampering off up a tree.  He loved them!
 And for some reason there was a large gathering of NYPDs finest - guns, battons, zip-tie handcuffs?!  No idea what that was about.
